Jeanne DeCara is a Chicago-based photographer whose work centers on landscape and

nature photography, with additional interests in wildlife and food photography.

Influenced as a child by her father’s enthusiasm for documenting family travels through photos, Jeanne later sought to capture her own journeys. Today, her camera is a constant companion on hiking trails and adventures near and far.

Jeanne’s images reflect a deep appreciation for the quiet beauty of the outdoors and the moments of wonder found in exploration. Working often in black and white, she emphasizes light, shadow, and texture to create photographs rich in depth and dimensionality. In this way, she isinfluenced by the landscapes of Ansel Adams and the paintings of Renaissance masters.

Through her photography, Jeanne seeks to foster a connection between viewers and the natural world.

Her work has been exhibited at WithInSight Gallery, Perspective Gallery, and through the National Arts Program.
